
Treatment of Obesity
1. Trial Details/Purpose
Obesity is a long-term health condition defined by an excessive amount of body fat. It is commonly assessed using the body mass index (BMI), where a BMI of 30 or above signifies obesity. This condition is associated with an elevated risk of numerous health issues, such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and some forms of cancer. The purpose of this study is to measure the effects of Wegovy®, a groundbreaking treatment designed to help individuals lose weight safely and effectively.​

​2. Inclusion Criteria
​

Male or female participants ≥18 to ≤80 years of age at the time of screening.
-
BMI ≥30 kg/m2, at the screening visit.
-
Non-diabetic individuals
-
No history of weight loss surgeries
-
No recent use of weight loss medications
-
Able to understand and complete study-related questionnaires.
3. Exclusion Criteria

History of Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes (Gestational Diabetes in permitted)
-
Previous bariatric surgery or planned bariatric surgery

Any malignancy in the past 5 years
-
Poorly controlled hypertension
-
Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
-
Has received any anti-obesity medication within 90 days prior to visit 1

​4. Benefits of Participation

Participants may be compensated for time and travel.

No personal insurance is necessary.

Participants will receive study medication at no cost.

Before and during the study, qualified participants will meet with board-certified physicians and highly-trained and skilled research staff and receive one-on-one care.
